Yendayar - Kootickal - Mundakayam : Unprecedented Landslides and flash floods - October, 2021.
As you must have heard there were devastating landslides and accompanying flash floods in the area of Yendayar, Koottickal and Mundakayam
stretches of the Manimala River in Kerala on Saturday the 16thof October.
In a matter of two hours the water level in the river rose by up to thirty feet.
The sheer destruction caused is unimaginable and is only now being realised.
Government agencies as well as various private groups are already helping the needy in relief and recovery.
The Good Samaritan Project India too has decided to initiate a project to assist those who were affected by this disaster get back on their feet.
The Society has the necessary permissions, the expertise, and the trained staff to administer this project well. The need of the hour is to
support affected families with necessary support to resume normal life activities.
