This is a new project launched by the society at the end of 2018. It is a 10 bed care facility dedicated to the treatment of patients with diagnosed conditions that require life care.
The hospice is operated under the supervision of Dr.Geetha Vijay, who is an eminent palliative care doctor in Kerala. She is assisted by a team of palliative trained nurses. The hospice is staffed around the clock by trained nurses who give care to the patients as and when required.
The principle of the hospice is to give minimal medical intervention and maximum patient care.
The project is envisaged to give free care to all patients. The care would include medicines and nursing.
It is hoped that in due course of time the hospice will be funded entirely through donation. However patients and their families who could afford the care may make donations to the Hosanna Hospice.
